Walking and Rambling

There are vast opportunities for walkers and ramblers around Lampeter and the counties of Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire. Visit the local ramblers page to see whether there are any planned walks during your time here at Lampeter. Non-members are always welcome as long as they follow the set guidelines.

If you happen to get a “little” wet there is a drying room available at the hotel, making your coats and boots nice and cosy for next time.

Falcondale is set one mile outside of Lampeter and there are numerous walks available using the hotel as a base. Download our two favourite walks: –

Top 11 Cambrian Mountains Community Trails

Discover eleven amazing communities and the big green spaces of the Cambrian Mountains by walking eleven local footpaths.

Welsh Coastal Path

We are very lucky in Ceredigion to have acces to 60 miles of the Wales Coastal Path.

Our favourite route is between Aberaeron and New Quay where it’s possible to spot dolphins and seals, amongst many seabirds that reside and pass through this area. You will pass harbours, coves, waterfalls and follow part of Dylan Thomas’ favourite walking route when he was residing in this area.

Adventure

If you prefer to be a little more adventurous you may borrow or buy an ordance survey Explorer Map of the area. Have the pleasure of discovering Llanerchaeron national trust property on route to Aberaeron, or the Sarn Helen Roman Road near Llangeitho.

Why not order a packed lunch at The Falcondale to take out with you?
