Named “Von Bunsen” after Mary Charlotte Von Bunsen, daughter of the Prussian Ambassador to the Court of St James, who married John Battersby-Harford. It was he who commissioned Falcondale to be built in the Italianate style to remind her of her honeymoon in Italy.
